Meet The Maker

Meet the maker, ME!! My name is Melissa, I was born in Newfoundland, Canada. Most of my family still lives there and some live in a small (VERY small) town called "Heart's Desire" (hence the biz name!). I love summer, iced coffee, being creative and I love the colour Pink! (if you couldn't tell already 😂)

The most common question I get is, how did you get started!? Well, when I was working at Mandala Design, an all Canadian Made Boutique in Toronto (if you're in the area, check them out!!) I was able to meet and work alongside many Canadian Artisans. If we couldn't find something we wanted that was locally made, we made it ourselves!

Mandala Design already had an amazing Nail Polish line that fit the criteria. Canadian Made, Cruelty-Free, and Non-Toxic! Filled with lots of sparkles and bright neon colours by @renegade_fawn_polishes. But, at the time we wanted to add more neutrals and solid colours. While I was on the search, I couldn't find exactly what we wanted. So, I said, I'll do it!

And Heart's Desire Beauty was born! 

I have now expanded the Brand to offer more than just Nail Polish. 

Think of us as your local Canadian Non-Toxic Beauty Brand!
